In such diverse fields as “AI” “Blockchain” “Drucker Management Theory” “Project Management” “Communication Skills Improvement” “Cloud Computing” “Consulting Skills” “Life and P&C Insurance Industry” “Business Strategy”, teams are organized for each theme and research is conducted on an independent basis.
To share information across our organization, the results of these research activities are regularly announced to all employees. The main research topics are as follows.
The AI Research Group began due to an interest in the autonomous growth of AI, and AI’s potential to make a significant contribution to the advancement of society.
The objective is to acquire knowledge and skills regarding artificial intelligence to facilitate its usefulness and application to society and business.
Currently, the AI Research Group gathers information utilizing academic journals by the Academy of Artificial Intelligence as study material and proactively attending seminars held by the academy.
To complement each other’s expertise and experience, each member of the group announces at the workshop and puts forward for discussion the results of their research, promoting understanding at the team level.
Test teams are also set up as a result of these activities, and with continuous participation in AI competitions, are involved in activities that lead to the creation of business opportunities．
The spread of “Cloud Computing” continues unabated, with changes in the business environment - such as requirements for speed and cost reduction in strategy implementation, as well as DRP(Disaster Recovery Plan) and BCP(Business Continuity Plan).
On the basis that “an IT strategy cannot be properly executed without optimizing Cloud Computing”, the team conducts (1) investigation into new cloud technologies, (2) comparison and review of cloud services, (3) a simulation analysis of existing systems whether development takes place on-premises or in the cloud; and now research has reached a level where knowledge gained can be put to real use.
By researching business strategy development in parallel to assessing domain, core competency, resource allocation and so on to generate an effective strategy creation narrative, not only will such expertise contribute to our own strategy, it is also actively being linked to a Strategy Development Consultation business.
In addition, on the basis that significant gains can be made not only from examples of successful business strategies, but also failed ones, the team is conducting a sizable amount of research into corporations, with application of these as case studies.
